Hrm. Was searching porn, went to a site I hadn’t been to before.
Only to have a big ass warning messages accusing me of searching for child porn or something like that. If this site had anything like that, I certainly wasn’t aware.
I didn’t bother to read the message in detail, as I was furiously trying to close the whole tab. Every attempt to close it instead just popped up a similar big message saying the FBI or CIA or something tracked my IP and knew where I was. To get out of it, I had to kill the browser from the processes dialog window.
Frankly, this seems like a scam, attempt to scare the crap out of me, or an attempt to install malware. I don’t really believe any organization had anything to do with it. Even still, it’s got me all freaked out and paranoid.
Anyone else had to deal with it?
I haven’t seen anything like this, but some of the other responses indicate that it was probably malware. Yeah, I’d recommend an antivirus scan of your computer after something like this.
